However, these are not just for kids, this is for all ages, I loved it to.
This would be a great party drink, people who don't drink alcohol get a lovely, refreshing, pretty drink, and those that do can always add a bit of lemon vodka, watermelon gin, tequillq or bacardi to their glass, see below for measures.
If you can't find the apple and pink grapefruit mineral water I have figured out a way to make my own:
In a jug pour
750ml apple juice
750ml sparkling apple juice and
1 litre Bundaberg Pink Grapefruit Sparkling Drink
I don't add the sugar and water here, it isn't needed
then just continue with the recipe.
If you can't find Bundaberg pink grapefruit drinks, try and find another brand like San Pellegrino, they have grapefruit.
Either way this is such a pretty drink, and has a lovely flavour.
Recipe
Serves 10-12
2 tablespoons caster sugar
2.5 litres apple and pink grapefruit mineral water
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 cup chopped seedless watermelon
250g strawberries, hulled, sliced
1 cup mint leaves
Ice cubes, to serve
Combine the caster sugar with 2 tablespoons water in a small saucepan, stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Cool.
Combine the sugar syrup, apple and pink grapefruit mineral water, lime juice, watermelon, strawberries and mint leaves in one large or 2 smaller jugs.
Add ice to your glass, spoon in some fruit, pour over the punch.
Serve immediately.
To turn it into a cocktail, pour 90ml of the Sparkling Fruit Punch to a glass. Add fruit, ice and 30-45ml vodka, gin, bacardi or tequilla. You just turned this mocktail into a delicious cocktail.
Enjoy!
