My Best Ever Recipes

I am always on the lookout for new recipes, even if I love some recipes, I'll still try new ones just because I like doing that.

This list is made up of recipes I no longer search for, these recipes are my best ever recipes, these recipes to me are perfect.

For instance my Chocolate Mud Cake recipe is the best one I have ever tried, it works every time and I am no longer interested in trying any other mud cake as this one is perfect to me.

Now the food that has not made it on this list is still food I love, but I am happy to still try new variations of them just for fun. But this list, this is perfection for me.

Now I am writing this before I have even gone through What's Cooking Ella to see what I will post, so I have no idea as yet what recipes I will list. So here goes, let's see how many perfect recipes I have.

1. Chocolate Mud Cake

This is the perfect mud cake. It is light, it is fluffy, it is delicious to eat. This one is very popular amongst my family and friends. I have been making this one for years and have no desire to ever try another. So tasty and so easy to make.

2. Best Ever Berry Pikelets

These are the fluffiest pancakes I have ever made, adding blueberries or raspberries to them makes them absolutely delicious. These are my favourite pancakes and my kids absolutely love them. Now I do like some of my other pancake recipes, but these are the best. Did I mention they are easy to make.

3. Bacon and Egg Roll

Far better than any store bought bacon and egg roll I have ever had. This is delicious and I enjoy every single bite. Super easy, super tasty. Stopped looking for another recipe years ago.

4. Chicken Liver, Frisee and Speck Salad

If you love chicken livers (as I do) this salad is a must for you. This is delicious, one of my all time favourite salads. Perfect flavours, I cannot fault this salad.

5. Caesar Salad

I have always loved a good Caesar Salad. This recipe I have been making for over 15 years, I don't try any other recipe as I am extremely happy with this one. This is a very popular party salad.

6. Spaghetti with Clams

Again this recipe is over 10 years old. Although I have tried variations, I gave up years ago looking for anymore, as non compared to this one. Absolutely delicious, do not be tempted to remove chilli from it, as it needs it. Another very popular and easy to make party dish.

7. Lasagne

Another recipe that I have been making for over 10 years is this lasagne. The recipe can be doubled so you can freeze some for a later date. Very, very popular at parties, this is one very good lasagne.

9. Pork Schnitzels in Lemon and Parsley

Honestly, if I'm time poor I will use packet breadcrumbs, but only Panko breadcrumbs. But if you want the perfect crumb, this is it. I love the combination of the fresh breadcrumbs with the lemon and parsley, absolutely delicious.

10. Fried Rice

My mother has been making this version of fried rice for about 30 years now, and now I make it to, they are the best, super tasty and perfect party food. Also they are a great way to feed the family when you are cleaning out the refrigerator and all you have is a bit of bacon to work with, team it with a fried egg, dinner is done.

16, 17, 18 and 19. New York Cheesecake

My New York Cheesecake is the best one ever, it is creamy, it is tangy, it is delicious. And My Passionfruit Cheesecake, Sunny Lemon Cheesecake and Margarita Cheesecake are all variations of my New York Cheesecake and they to are perfect and deserve to be on the list.

24. Pavlova

This is my version of the perfect Pavlova. I serve this at a lot of my parties and it is always the first thing to disappear. Recently I made it with a Lemon Curd Cream, just for a change (small change) and it was just as delicious.

So there you go here are my best ever recipes from What's Cooking Ella. Many more could have made it on this list, but I felt these are my truest favourites, what I consider to be perfect recipes. These are the recipes I will not alter as I am truly happy with them.
